The origin of K.L.E Society is due to the pioneering efforts of the Saptarishis – a band of seven selfless, dedicated and inspiring young graduates. In the accomplishment of their mission along with the three philanthropists, the Saptarishis started the first institution called Anglo Vernacular School in Belgaum, on 13th November 1916. From its humble beginning the society has been progressing by leaps and bounds to the extent that it flourished into a multifaceted organization with educational establishments in Science, Arts, Commerce, Medicine, Engineering, Law, Information Technology, Pharmacy, Education etc. In the course of 99 years the society has established 246 institutions and hence has been spreading knowledge in this part of the country.

The K.L.E Society ultra modern multispeciality 2500 bedded Hospital and Medical Research Center is the brain-Child of our beloved Chairman, Shri. Prabhakar B. Kore M.P. Our Society’s institutions have collaboration with Llinois University, Chicago; Sutherland University U.K. and also the Government of Malaysia. The society has established educational institutions not only in Karnataka but also in Maharashtra and even in New Delhi. Recently it has been granted the status of an independent University, K.L.E. University for its Medical Institutions. The Society has been and will be quenching the thirst of seekers of the knowledge under the Dynamism and farsightedness of our Hon’ble Chairman Shri. Prabhakar B. Kore, the reciepent of best educationist award by Giants International Federation and also Suvarna Karnataka Rajyotsav Award by Government of Karnataka.
