Admission Criteria

The intake capacity of our institution is 100, out of which 50 candidates are admitted through centralized admission cell of the Government of Karnataka and 50 candidates are admitted by the K.L.E. society’s Board of Management. The Centralized Admission Cell, Government of Karnataka selects the candidate on merit cum roster system.

K.L.E Society’s Board of Management admits 50 candidates from all groups of the community adhering to the admission criteria set by N.C.T.E. & as per the norms of Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. Students seeking admission for B.Ed. program can be Arts/ Science/Commerce or any graduate from the recognized university. On the provisional admission granted to the students for the B.Ed Program, it is mandatory for the students to produce the Transfer Certificate from the college last attended. Further, it is mandatory for the students of other universities i.e. other than Rani Channamma University to produce Migration Certificate from the University last attended for seeking admission to B.Ed. program.

Eligibility for Admission:

  • All candidates must be graduate any Degree from recognized University
  • Languages: Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, English,.

Electives:

History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Commerce, Accountancy.

All the candidates should have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate of all the three years of degree including electives and languages, excluding internal assessment marks and class examination marks. But SC/ST/CAT.-I/Physically handicapped candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate of all the three years of degree including electives and languages, excluding internal assessment marks and class examination marks.

Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction and examination shall be English or Kannada:

Scheme of Instruction:

  • First Semester: There shall be 7 papers (5 core papers + 2 EPC paper) and practicum related to practice teaching and community oriented activities. Each paper carries 100 marks.
  • Second Semester: there shall be 6 papers (4 core papers + 2 MOTs paper) and practicum related to practice teaching and community oriented activities. Each paper carries 100 marks.
  • Third Semester: there shall be 6 papers (2 core papers + 2 MOTs + + 2 EPC paper) and practicum related to practice teaching and community oriented activities. Each paper carries 100 marks.
  • Fourth Semester: there shall be 3 papers ( 2 MOTs + + 1 optional paper) and practicum related to practice teaching and community oriented activities. Each paper carries 100 marks.
